Today is a very special day because it is my mother's birthday. I don't miss her that much because I just saw and talked with her via YM last week, but I really wanted to greet her today. However because my schedule would not allow it, I was not able to. I had a prior invitation for the Filcomin, Filipino Catholic prayer group based here in Surabaya. Fortunately, they were also celebrating the birthday of Ms. Lilian today. I was able to include my mom's intention during the prayer meeting and celebrate a birthday party at the same time. Syukur kepada Allah!
This is a log of my daily experiences here in Surabaya for my four months exposure to the Indonesian people, language and culture. I am a Filipino Dominican deacon, staying here in our Parish at Gereja Katolik Redemptor Mundi, Jl. Dukuh Kupang Barat I/7, Surabaya, Indonesia. Please feel free to comment and inter-act with this site. You may likewise want to add yourself to my followers in the "talatuki" widget. Selamat Datang!
