Hari ini Minggu, Enam Maret Dua Ribu Sebelas

Setiap Minggu, Saya berdiri selalu di atas di Balai Paroki, watching the wonderful way the parking area slowly gets filled with cars. I was amazed the first time I saw how cars although seemingly would not fit the area will find their places in the end. I do this while waiting for Sunday school which starts at jam sepuluh setiap minggu pagi. Ofcourse, it is but natural for those entering to get the spaces which are closest to the keluar gate, but how will those entering pass if their mobil are already blocking the way? Well that is how intelligent the people who manage the parking are. They are able to guide the mobil to where they are suppose to be. Like my visit to Vietnam last year which made me wonder how the millions of motorcycles passing along the busy streets do not bump on to each other and how cars along the busy and traffic jammed streets of Manila manage to get to their destination without hassle, it also puzzles me how the banyak mobil in RM are able to find their way into their parking space without being direct threats to the safety of its passengers. I believe this is all in the genius plan of the Divine maker. I always reflect on the perfection of God whenever I see such sights.

Malam ini, saya dan Romo Adrian makan nasi goreng di Co Luki dan Chi Jo's rumah. I particularly liked their house with all the cross stiched art work Chi Jo made, which gave the house a more homey ambiance. I was reminded how our teacher in highschool used to bully us into making cross stiches as our home economics project for four years just because she made a business out of it, she sells the Aida cloth and frames the finished pieces. Anyway back to Chi Jo's family house, noteworthy are the quotations in Chi Jo's works which centered either on Biblical themes or motivational principles. Likewise, I love the anteroom which overlooked the living room area. This preceeds a room which I think is bigger than all the rooms and is probably the biggest in the house, it is a prayer meeting room which can be used for choir practice.

My favorite is the image of Mary and the unique lectern on which a crucifix is attached. Most impressive are the little souvenirs which the family gathered from the many visits they had from across the globe. I  believe the house reflects those who live in them and likewise the house influences the people who live in them.

If their is one impression I had about this particular rumah, it is that the people who live here prioritize God, the Word and prayer about other things. They even have plate and cup mats which are ladden with scriptural passages.

Likewise, my gratitude to "Meme", the anak perempuan of Co Luki and Chi Jo who was sensitive and thoughtful enough to lend me her table of irregular verbs to aid me in my Bahasa studies, Thank you Meme!  This was ofcourse after I initiated conversations with her centered on asking her how to say phrases in Bahasa, which probably inspired her to go to her room and get this table.
